INGROUND POOL WINTERIZING TIP
INGROUND POOL WINTERIZING TIP..
Some people are used to their inground pool being drained down past the skimmer for winterizing. But please realize that the higher the water level is through the winter, the better it is for your pool cover and for the vinyl liner.
POOL DRAINING:
Inground pools that are drained too low cause undue stress on the pool cover. And exposing the vinyl liner to the air causes it to prematurely dry out. You only have to drain the inground pool down if it has tile at the water line, because surface water will freeze and expand, and this could cause tiles to crack. But for vinyl liner inground pools, you don’t have tile that could crack at the water line.
DRAINING POOL PIPES & SKIMMER:
Blowout the pipes under water and blowout the skimmer. Then plug the skimmer and use a device called a Gizzmo in it for ice expansion protection. Questions call: Rich at: 609-313-0300
