SALT CHLORINATORS-Briefly speaking
SALT CHLORINATORS.1. Automatic chlorine generation by electrolysis of a small amount of salt (sodium chloride-table salt), added to the pool-water.
2. The salt level is low enough that it will normally not be tasted.
3. The salt system converts salt into free chlorine, which kills bacteria and algae in the pool. Chlorine will revert back to salt in the pool-water solution after killing bacteria.
4. These reactions will continuously recycle virtually eliminating the need to add sanitizing chemicals to your pool. You will still have to maintain proper levels of other pool-chemicals, like PH,Alkalinity, etc.
5. The only time you may need to add more salt to the pool, is when water is replenished due to backwashing, draining, heavy rains, or splash-out by swimmers-but not due to evaporation.
6. As long as your pool pump is running and filtering, you are in-effect continuously mini-shocking the pool with fresh chlorine gas….Sincerely; Rich DeMarco-www.paradisepoolandspa.com
